BROWN RICE LIVELIHOOD FOUNDATION · HONG KONG

Different minds.
Fuller lives.

A life to enjoy. A place to belong.

We connect community, education and caring relationships so neurodivergent people can develop their strengths and contribute in their own way.

From feeling understood to seeing what is possible.

DIFFERENCE DESERVES UNDERSTANDING.POTENTIAL DESERVES OPPORTUNITY.EVERYONE DESERVES BELONGING.

WHY BROWN RICE

A label never tells
the whole story.

Difference should not limit opportunity. Starting with individual needs and strengths, we connect families, schools and communities to create more ways to learn, grow and take part in society.

ADHD, autism (ASD) and other developmental differences affect attention, learning, communication and sensory experience. Understanding these differences helps create conditions for participation.

OUR PROJECTS

Turn possibility into everyday life.

From girls’ communities to classrooms and community learning, we nurture initiatives that respond to different needs.

Progress you can see.

For three years, Soaring Academics has provided volunteer academic tutoring in communities and schools, particularly for students from low-income families and neurodivergent students.

Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to change through learning and experience. This guides our work: helping students develop their strengths and widen their future opportunities through learning.

  • Connect and observe, uncover strengths and work through learning barriers
  • Personalise teaching and practice, using ongoing feedback to improve learning
  • Let academic progress build the confidence to say “I can do this”

Progress needs suitable methods and support. Starting points and progress vary; we do not promise a set gain in scores or ability within a fixed period.
