About tax deductions

For Hong Kong tax deduction claims, the aggregate of approved charitable donations for a year of assessment must be at least HK$100. This is an annual aggregate, not a legal minimum for each receipt. Eligibility is subject to IRD rules.

A few helpful answers

Where does my donation go?

Your donation supports Brown Rice’s work for neurodivergent girls, including Petal - Girls Club, community programmes and support around girls and their caregivers. No fixed programme allocation is implied by the suggested amounts.

What if my bank cannot include a reference?

Keep your bank confirmation. In the receipt form, select “I did not enter a reference” and provide the bank transaction reference, date and amount. We may need to contact you to reconcile it.

Has my transfer arrived?

This website does not connect to your bank or show a live payment status. A reference or completed form is not proof of payment. Please check your bank confirmation; Brown Rice verifies received funds separately.

Can I donate without giving personal details?

You do not need to fill in the receipt form if you do not need a receipt. Your bank may still share transfer details with the receiving bank. For an identifiable receipt we need the donor’s name and the details requested above.
